Job summary

Redwood Materials in Reno, NV seeks an Analytical Laboratory Technician to support production quality and safety through routine chemical analyses, sample handling, data entry, and basic instrument operation. The role builds proficiency in analytical methods, lab information systems, and lab safety while preparing for independent operation.

The position is full-time with compensation commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in science or related field, or 2+ years of related experience.
Experience in laboratory settings, quality settings, or chemical production facilities.
Good documentation practices and data entry skills.
Comfortable wearing PPE including lab coats and respirators.
Familiar with ICP-OES, auto-titration, X-Ray Fluorescence, TOC, etc.

Responsibilities

Prepares samples for analysis using established tests and techniques.
Performs routine chemical, metrological, and metallurgical analyses and reporting.
Maintains laboratory instrumentation and equipment, including troubleshooting.
Works in a production environment, sampling and testing physical characteristics.
Includes lab organization, inventory, safety audits, and special projects.
Works effectively in both team and individual settings.
