The Entry Level Salesperson is an enthusiastic and driven individual who supports Toroid Corporation’s sales efforts by engaging in high-volume outreach to prospective and existing clients. This role is designed for recent college graduates eager to launch their careers in sales, with a focus on building relationships, generating leads, and supporting the sales team. The ideal candidate is a personable, proactive communicator with a strong work ethic, comfortable with CRM tools like Salesforce, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Essential Functions:

•Conduct high-volume outbound sales activities, including phone calls, emails, and social media outreach, to generate leads and build client relationships.

•Assist in identifying prospective clients and supporting the Sales Manager in qualifying leads and following up on opportunities.

•Learn and communicate basic product knowledge of toroidal transformers to engage clients effectively, with guidance from the sales and engineering teams.

•Actively participate in sales meetings, client calls, and customer outreach to support business development efforts.

•Support trade shows, industry events, and marketing initiatives, including occasional social media posting and event attendance.

•Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, leads, and outreach activities using Salesforce and related CRM tools.

•Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience, from initial contact through follow-up.

•Stay informed on industry trends and customer needs to provide feedback to the sales team and contribute to strategy discussions.

•Assist in maintaining sales documentation, lead records, and customer databases using CRM tools such as Salesforce.

•Work in-person at Toroid Corporation’s Salisbury, Maryland office 5 days a week, with occasional travel for customer visits or trade shows.

Education and Experience:

•Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma/GED required, background in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field preferred.

•No prior sales experience is required, but a strong desire to learn, work hard, and achieve results is essential.

•Some knowledge of toroidal transformers or electrical components is a plus but not required.

•Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort with learning CRM software such as Salesforce.

•Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

•This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively through speaking and listening. Frequent physical activities include standing, walking, using hands for tasks such as handling or feeling objects, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Personal Protective Equipment:

This job does not require PPE in our office environment.If there is a requirement to enter the Production Area, use of safety glasses and steel toe shoes are required.

This role operates in a professional office setting in Salisbury, Maryland, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The position requires in-person work 5 days a week, with occasional travel for customer visits, trade shows, or industry events.
