Job summary

Harder Mechanical Contractors is seeking an entry level Safety Tech for an Advanced Technology project in Boise, ID. This role offers a work-and-learn path with mentoring from the safety team and opportunities to grow into increased responsibility and salary.

You will identify hazards, reinforce safety expectations, and support safe work planning on fast-paced construction sites, working 5 days a week at 10 hours per day. Excellent for building a long-term safety career.

Qualifications

• Interest in building a long-term career in safety.
• Willingness to learn construction safety practices and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to coach others without creating conflict.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of construction risks and field activities.

Responsibilities

• Support incident prevention through field observations and inspections.
• Conduct job walks to identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with superintendents and crews to support safe work planning.
• Assist with inspections of job site areas, tools, equipment, and practices.
• Support safety requirements for fall protection, scaffolding, and other hazards.
• Participate in incident investigations and help gather facts for corrective actions.
• Assist with safety orientations, toolbox talks, and site-specific training.
• Assist with development and review of Activity Hazard Analysis documents.
