Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an entry-level Roads & Highways Civil Engineer to join the team in Denver, CO. The role focuses on planning, design, and production of engineering drawings, with supervision and opportunities to gain hands-on experience.

You will conduct investigations, perform routine calculations, and contribute to project feasibility studies under mentoring, while developing documentation and reports for client review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
• 0–2 years of professional experience in a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer).
• Strong communication skills including active listening; willingness to ask questions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and production of engineering drawings; may supervise production of drawings.
• Perform data collection, calculations, and feasibility evaluations for project tasks.
• Prepare sections of reports under supervision of a more experienced professional.
• Review shop drawings for conformance and assist in progress reporting and quality control testing.
