Job summary

Mohave County Public Works is seeking an entry level Road Maintenance Worker to operate light and medium equipment for county road maintenance. On-the-job training will be provided, with potential exposure to heavy equipment as qualifications are attained.

Work 4 ten-hour shifts with varying start times by season; overtime and occasional travel to assist other crews are possible, and travel expenses may be covered for overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass pre-employment background screening.
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within six months.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to medium equipment for road work.
• Pothole repair and pavement patching.
• Maintain road shoulders and drainage features.
• Assist with traffic control and safety procedures.
• Follow safety rules and perform routine equipment maintenance.
