Job summary

The Boeing Defense, Space and Security division in El Segundo, CA, seeks an Entry Level Systems Engineer to design state-of-the-art, space-based communication systems for diverse programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, physics, math or computer science.
• Education or experience in signal processing.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop next generation RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems.
• Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures.
• Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces for digital payloads.
• Develop performance and link budgets.
• Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models.
• Assist with conducting trade studies.
• Develop prototype demonstrations on flight-like testbeds.
• Support unit-level integration and performance simulations.
• Support ASIC and FPGA level system design and verification.
• Support hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs.
