Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is hiring a Retread Technician in the United States. No prior experience is required; we train you to perform tire retreading steps in our plant.

Starting pay is $20.00/hr with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth within a large nationwide network. You will inspect tires, buff casings, repair and retread tread, and perform quality checks to ensure safe, road-ready tires.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess if they can be retread.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing.
• Repair the casing with patch or cement before applying new tread.
• Build the tire by applying new tread.
• Cure the tire to mold the retread application.
• Perform final inspection for a safe, quality product.
