Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is hiring a Retread Technician in Brunswick, OH. Training is provided and no prior experience is required. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with experienced pay up to $23.00 per hour, plus overtime and weekly pay.

Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with benefits and opportunities for growth. Role involves inspecting tires for retread viability, buffing casings, repairing casings, applying new tread, curing, and final safety inspection.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess retread feasibility.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the casing.
• Repair casing with rubber cement or a patch before applying new tread.
• Assemble tire by applying new tread and curing the retread.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.
