Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking an entry-level Resilience and Emergency Management Specialist to support disaster recovery and resilience projects. You will collect and analyze data, assist with grant administration, and coordinate stakeholder communications in a fast-paced public-sector environment.

The role emphasizes documentation, QA/QC, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with opportunities for growth and training through the REM program.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional, internship, academic, volunteer, or project experience in emergency management, disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, grants management, planning, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain technical, financial, planning, grant, project, and stakeholder data to support project delivery and client objectives.
• Support grant and program activities, including applications, reimbursements, compliance reviews, and documentation.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience, and emergency management planning projects.
• Prepare and manage reports, proposals, scopes of work, and project records.
• Coordinate meetings and client communications; track progress and ensure follow-through.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance of documentation.
