Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an entry-level Resilience and Emergency Management (REM) Specialist in Orlando, FL. The role supports disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience planning, and emergency management for public-sector clients, including grants management and data analysis.

You will organize data, coordinate stakeholder communications, and assist with reports, documentation, and project records while gaining exposure to FEMA/HUD programs and geospatial tools.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional, internship, academic, volunteer, or project experience in emergency management or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain data to support project delivery and client objectives.
• Support grant and program activities, including applications, documentation, compliance reviews, and cost reconciliation.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience, emergency management, and planning projects through research and coordination.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage reports, correspondence, presentations, planning documents, and project records.
• Coordinate meetings, stakeholder engagement, and client communications; track action items and follow through on assignments.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews to support documentation accuracy and compliance.
• Support FEMA and HUD grant programs, hazard mitigation, resilience initiatives, and data visualization.
