Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers seeks an entry-level Group Life Counselor I to join the residential treatment team. You will perform admission procedures, monitor behavior, and assist in milieu management for high-risk youth and their families.

Responsibilities include group facilitation, documentation, coordinating with counseling staff, and supporting clients within a multidisciplinary framework while upholding Sea Mar’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Must have Associate’s degree or high school diploma with at least one year relevant experience.
• Must hold a current First Aid Certificate.
• TB test and annual employee health screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist admission procedures and monitor patient behavior.
• Provide educational group facilitation and milieu management.
• Support treatment planning and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Document daily records and prepare progress reports for courts/referrals.
