Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a mid-level Group Life Counselor II to join a multidisciplinary treatment team in a residential setting. The role involves direct services such as group counseling, intake procedures, evaluation, and supervision of patients with chemical dependency and co-occurring issues.

You will follow agency policies, maintain records, and collaborate with courts and referral sources as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Must have good character and be able to meet the needs of adolescents and adults served.
• Must have good organizational, communication skills and legible handwriting.
• Understand that chemical dependency is a public health problem and a treatable illness.
• Must complete an annual clinical competency test.

Responsabilités

• Gains knowledge of applicable regulations and attends staff trainings.
• Provides direct services including group counseling, intake, evaluation, and milieu management.
• Maintains daily records, completes forms, and reports as required.
