Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington state is seeking a Group Life Counselor I to join a multidisciplinary team in a residential setting, providing direct services including admissions, behavior monitoring, group facilitation, milieu management and client supervision.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or a high school diploma with relevant experience, a WA driver’s license, and BLS CPR within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate’s degree, OR have a high school diploma with at least one year of relevant experience.
• Pre-hire and annual employee health screening is required. Must pass a TB test at time of hire, and annually thereafter. Annual influenza vaccine required. Exemptions may require a masked appearance during flu season.
• Must have a valid Washington State driver’s license.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain it.
• Must pass a satisfactory background check.
• Must pass required BH EHR trainings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional standards and treatment policies.
• Utilize electronic health record, email and medication system.
• Attend regular staff meetings.
• Support the clinical staff with the patient’s individualized needs.
• Monitor the clients.
• Conduct patient urinalysis, intakes and searches.
• Assist with program housekeeping.
• Monitoring of medication and utilize electronic MAR.
