Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an Engineer of Radiological Work to join our Radiological Infrastructure Organization. This role develops technical work documents incorporating radiological, environmental, safety and industrial hygiene controls to support Operations and reduce vulnerabilities across the site.

Candidates should have a related technical degree with years of experience and a background in radiation protection, with proven ability to write technical reports and work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience.
• PhD/Doctorate in a related field is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical work documents with engineering controls for radiological work.
• Support Operational groups to reduce vulnerabilities across the site.
• Focus on D&D activities in radiological areas and radiological support equipment.
