Job summary

Advocate Health's Oncology: Radiation department is seeking a Radiation Therapy Technologist to deliver and record treatments under a Radiation Oncologist. Collaborate with the medical team to review images, perform QA, and ensure accurate patient setup and documentation.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program, ARRT RT registration within 1 year, and BLS within 6 months. Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• ARRT RT registration within 1 year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.
• Review images and port films for patient setup and verification.
• Perform daily QA on equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Enter treatment parameters in EMR and maintain schedules.
• Prepare CT simulations and calculate monitor units as needed.
• Position and transport patients safely according to policy.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care as outlined.
