Job summary

Renesas Electronics seeks an entry-level engineering technician to support the radiation effects test team in Palm Bay, FL. You will prepare DUTs/PCBs, set up lab equipment, and execute SEE and TID campaigns, including multiple facility visits.

You will work hands-on with test hardware, travel to external facilities, and document results with attention to detail, while embracing lab safety and ESD practices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 3 years of experience in electronics/electrical engineering technology or related field.
• Good understanding of basic electronics lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supplies, electronic loads).
• Basic soldering skills - through-hole and SMT; fine-pitch rework under a microscope is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and written test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare devices under test (DUTs) and PCBs for radiation testing, including soldering, cabling, and mounting parts to fixtures.
• Set up, verify, and operate electronics lab and test equipment.
• Execute high dose rate TID testing and SEE testing per test plans.
• Travel to support campaigns at radiation test facilities and operate tests during beam time.
• Monitor devices during irradiation and document results in records.
• Support development and use of automated test setups and data-acquisition scripts.
