Job summary

Leidos is seeking an entry-level Computer Scientist to join the Sensor Research and Analysis Division and support missile defense programs in a high-fidelity modeling environment. You will set up, test, and analyze radar and weapon system performance, collaborating with scientists, engineers, and analysts.

The role requires strong analytical skills, teamwork, and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance. Onsite work in North Alabama is expected and the start date is 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (ABET-accredited).
• Strong proficiency in Python and foundational knowledge of C++.
• Experience in programming, algorithm development, or analytical software tools.
• Ability to analyze data sets and provide statistically relevant insights.

Responsibilities

• Support M&S configuration, testing, and data analysis of radar and weapon systems to determine performance.
• Demonstrate strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills for analysis products and presentations.
• Collaborate with a team to develop solutions to complex, non-traditional questions.
• Prepare and deliver analysis results, technical briefings, and demonstrations to program stakeholders.
