Job summary

Actalent is seeking a QC Lab Technician in Saint Cloud, MN, to join a dynamic team focused on quality and safety through rigorous testing and analysis.

You will perform microbiological analysis of products, water, and environments, collect samples for products like energy drinks, and conduct chemical analyses such as pH, brix, CO2 and HPLC for caffeine and preservatives. This contract-to-hire, fully onsite position emphasizes HACCP and QA checks.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in food quality or an AA/BA/BS in a scientific discipline or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological analysis of products, water, and environment to support sanitation and HACCP programs for food safety.
• Collect and test samples for products, including energy drinks and various water samples, ensuring test validity.
• Conduct analytical testing on energy drinks and related products (CO2, air, volume, crimp, torque, pH, brix, flavor, seam checks).
• Analyze titratable acidity and perform HPLC analysis for caffeine and preservative levels.
• Conduct TOA assessments of finished products evaluating taste, odor, appearance.
• Pull finished goods samples from production for analytical and customer testing.
• Review labels and documents for the release of finished products.
• Perform a QA line check every four hours to ensure adherence to food safety standards and equipment calibration.
