Job summary

Plymouth Industries is seeking a dependable Purchasing Analyst to support purchasing activities for our custom manufacturing operations. This is an entry-level opportunity with training and close work with leadership, suppliers, engineering, and production to ensure timely ordering of materials, components, and outside services.

Responsibilities include creating purchase orders, requesting pricing, following up on orders, verifying details, and helping manage supplier records and inventory

Qualifications

• Entry-level Purchasing Analyst role with training provided.
• No prior purchasing experience required; manufacturing or inventory experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit purchase orders using approved suppliers and internal team members.
• Request pricing, availability, and delivery information from suppliers.
• Follow up on open purchase orders and communicate delivery updates to departments.
• Verify order confirmations, quantities, pricing, and delivery dates.
• Assist with sourcing standard components, equipment, materials, and outside services.
• Maintain accurate supplier, PO, pricing, and delivery records.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify materials to reorder.
• Communicate discrepancies and late deliveries to suppliers and internal teams.
• Support supplier performance tracking and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, accounting, and others to clarify purchasing needs.
• Learn Plymouth Industries' products, processes, purchasing procedures, and ERP system.
• Assist with other purchasing and administrative duties.
