Job summary

The State of Hawai'i Department of Transportation / Highways Division seeks a qualified professional to plan, organize, manage, implement and evaluate complex projects using established project management principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required from a four-year college or university.
  • Three and one-half (3-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional experience planning, directing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating projects.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license at time of appointment.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) info and general application instructions are provided in the notice.

Responsibilities

  • Define project goals to determine required outcomes and deliverables.
  • Analyze and create detailed project plans identifying timelines, costs, resources and risk.
  • Regularly communicate with staff, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders on activities.
  • Monitor progress to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget; recommend changes to improve outcomes.
