City of Antioch is hiring a Public Safety Dispatcher to receive, evaluate, and relay 9-1-1, emergency, and non-emergency calls for the Antioch Police Department and Brentwood. You will operate CAD, dispatch units, monitor radio frequencies, and coordinate public safety responses in a fast-paced environment.

Entry-level candidates must graduate high school; lateral candidates require two years of dispatcher experience in California.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of public safety telecommunications and dispatch operations.
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely; proficient typing (45 net wpm).
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions in emergencies.

Responsabilités

• Receive, classify, and prioritize 9-1-1, emergency, and non-emergency calls.
• Dispatch police units and coordinate response with field personnel.
• Operate CAD, radio, and other public safety communications equipment.
