Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an entry level P&C Associate Engineer to support the protection and control systems that keep the transmission and distribution grid safe and reliable. You will assist in design, analysis, and coordination tasks across planning, operations, and maintenance teams.

The role emphasizes developing relay settings, conducting fault simulations, and contributing to system restoration and troubleshooting efforts with guidance from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably power systems.
• Zero to four years of related Electrical Engineering experience.
• No licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate changes to electric facilities for compatibility with standards.
• Create new Protection and Control system designs per Eversource standards.
• Specify materials for P&C systems on assigned projects.
• Develop settings and logic for protection relays and switches.
• Perform coordination studies via fault simulation software.
• Analyze protection system operations during disturbances.
• Interface with Planning, Operations and Field personnel to support reliability.
• Assist with storm and emergency restoration assignments.
