Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an entry-level P&C Associate Engineer to contribute to the design and operation of protection and control systems across our transmission and distribution network.

You will analyze protection system operations, support unplanned maintenance, and collaborate with planning, operations and field teams to ensure safe, reliable service. This role offers growth and exposure within a large utility.

Qualifications

• Requires E.E. degree with focus on electric power systems.
• 0–4 years of related Electrical Engineering experience.
• Entry level position with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate proposed changes to existing electric facilities to ensure compatibility with established protection system standards.
• Create new Protection and Control system designs as required.
• Specify materials for new or modified Protection and Control systems.
• Develop settings and logic for protective relays, logic processors, and switches.
• Perform coordination studies by modeling and analyzing electric system elements using fault simulation software.
• Interface with Planning, Operations and Field personnel to support transmission and distribution system planning, operation and maintenance.
• Provide support for unplanned maintenance and system restoration efforts.
• Assist with storm and/or emergency restoration assignments.
