Responsibilities

• Evaluates and manages cases or lawsuits by reviewing documentation, conducting legal research, interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and determining actions.
• Drafts, files and responds to motions, briefs or other legal documents for trials and hearings.
• Represents the State in trials/hearings with jury selection, openings, direct and cross examinations, and closing arguments.
• Participates in settlement or plea negotiations.
• Prepares legal documents if settlement or plea is reached and ensures signatures and filings.
