The Isabella County Prosecutor’s Office has an opening for an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. We seek an individual who enjoys courtroom advocacy, is proficient in legal research and writing, and is passionate about seeking justice for victims of crime.

The role offers opportunities for growth, collaboration with experienced trial attorneys, and a supporting staff. Open to entry-level candidates in a county office environment.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Michigan.
• Member in good standing with the Michigan State Bar.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• No previous prosecution experience is required; any criminal law experience is noted.
• Background check and criminal history required.

Mansioni

• Review and authorize warrants for misdemeanor and juvenile cases.
• Prosecute misdemeanor/juvenile cases; negotiate pleas; prepare motions; advise on legal issues; prepare witnesses for trial.
• Try cases before a judge or jury.
