Job summary

Texas AirSystems in San Antonio, TX is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to learn all facets of our HVAC products and systems. You will estimate and manage projects, coordinate submittals, equipment selection, pricing and ship dates for each project, while maintaining high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced team setting.

You’ll work with sales, customers and manufacturers, building strong relationships and ensuring timely completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering or construction industry is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high‑volume projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration.
• Optimize the project through product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns.
• Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
• Communicate with owners, architects, MEP consultants and contractors.
• Organize project data for order entry.
• Respond to and track IOM and submittal requests.
• Read and interpret building plans and specifications.
• Develop relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers and manufacturers.
• Determine project requirements and sales team responsibilities to meet design, installation and maintenance expectations.
• Investigate concerns and communicate with customers to maximize satisfaction.
