Manganaro Building Group, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to help with estimates, bid preparation, and scope reviews. The role offers exposure to field methods, cost control, and learning from estimators on active projects.

Ideal candidates will have a B.S. degree in civil engineering or related field and demonstrate organizational excellence, teamwork, and a drive to learn within a growing construction services company.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications to assist with bids.
• Perform quantity take-offs using On Screen Take Off.
• Assist with bid preparation per Estimating policy to provide complete estimates.
• Attend scope review meetings with Estimators to gain experience representing the company.
• Use knowledge of labor, material, and equipment costs to prepare written estimates.
• Participate in training and development programs.
• Gain knowledge of project folders, field package, cost control, and accounting systems.
• Visit active projects to understand field methods and systems.
• Ensure compliance with local/state building codes.
• Develop written proposals and vendor pricing.
• Assist Business Development Manager with marketing and closings.
• Perform other duties as assigned when trained.
