Job summary

Holder Construction Group is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Preconstruction team in Charlotte, NC. This full-time, in-person role supports cost estimation, design coordination, and purchasing for multiple projects, leveraging BIM exposure and strong communication with stakeholders.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field and bring 4–6 years of construction management or estimating experience, with relocation willingness and proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in construction management, preconstruction, or estimating.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand construction design documents and specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Manage cost and design issues throughout project phases.
• Coordinate and manage trades, with exposure to BIM processes.
• Oversee all purchasing required to support projects, including scope coordination, proposal evaluation, trade negotiations, and contracting.
