Job summary

Ventura Foods in Saint Joseph, MO onsite second shift seeks a production operator who will use the daily schedule to determine products and handle oils processing, packaging, and palletizing. Tasks include equipment checks, sanitation, and maintaining GMP and FSMA compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing setting, good reading and math skills, mechanical aptitude and clear communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience preferred in food manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Start up and check equipment; perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Ensure packaging, lids, codes meet specs and quality checks.
• Read daily production schedule and apply line-specific requirements.
• Follow GMP, safety, quality policies and FSMA requirements.
• Communicate problems or concerns with appropriate personnel; coordinate with relief staff.
• Maintain daily production efficiency and sanitation tasks; complete paperwork on time.
