Job summary

Ventura Foods is hiring for an hourly production role based in Saint Joseph, MO. You will use the daily production schedule to determine the products to process and adhere to packaging, labeling, and palletizing configurations.

You may lift and move ingredients, packaging, and equipment as required for production of food grade oils. Typical duties include starting up equipment, sanitizing surfaces, performing quality checks, and maintaining efficiency and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and perform basic math accurately.
• Mechanical aptitude and hand–eye coordination required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to start up and check equipment; perform basic maintenance as needed.
• Sanitize surfaces and ensure readiness for operation before each shift.
• Perform quality checks on packaging, weights, codes and case inspections.
• Read the daily production schedule and note product-specific requirements.
• Follow GMP, safety procedures, quality policies and FSMA standards.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel and coordinate with relief staff.
• Maintain daily production efficiency and sanitation duties; complete paperwork timely.
• Follow all food safety policies and preventive controls.
