Job summary

Western Milling is seeking an entry-level Plant Operator to load bulk finished product, run mixing and pelleting systems, perform routine maintenance, and keep the plant area clean.

You will operate forklifts and related equipment, document batch records, monitor quality, and support other roles as needed. Overtime may be required; paid benefits include vacation, sick leave, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar production environment preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including forklifts, rollers, grinders, mixing and batching equipment.
• Perform functions in mixing, batching and pelleting processes.
• Cross-train in other support roles.
• Organize bulk loads with truck drivers for loading.
• Document load out records for traceability.
• Conduct visual quality inspections and escalate inconsistencies.
