Location and Position

The location in Nekoosa, Wisconsin, is seeking talent to fill the position of Entry-Level Production/Labor Pool Utility. This job is full-time permanent. The Nekoosa mill is currently seeking hourly, entry-level production workers who have a safety mindset. Our career progression provides opportunities to gain experience and develop skills in pulp and paper-making manufacturing technologies while increasing your earnings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and service departments to assist with extra workload, cover absences, and supplement crews required to meet unusual changes in the workload.
• Operate machinery, forklift/clamp truck, and perform general housekeeping as part of entry-level duties.

Compensation and Benefits

New employees earn $30.16 per hour plus shift differential while in entry-level positions. The rate of pay is determined by the position the employee works in that day. Domtar offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401(k) with company match. Benefits are effective on the 1st of the month following the hire date. New hires earn one week of paid vacation after six months of employment and an additional week after one year of service. Domtar also recognizes 11 paid holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years full or part-time work or school experience within the last 4 years.
• Must be available to work rotating 12-hour, 4 on 4 off shifts that include weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.
• Must be able to perform typical physical aspects of the job, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, reaching, and navigating stairs.
• Ability to pass computer-based aptitude testing, panel interview, pre-employment physical capabilities test, pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, and a background check.
