Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in San Diego, CA seeks an entry‑level assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble mechanical units and electrical components using hand and power tools, fixtures, and equipment, and you will fit, align, and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.

Under close supervision, you will follow established procedures, maintain production records, and help test and verify assemblies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 0–3 years experience.
• Willing to work outside normal hours as needed.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, and adjust parts per specifications.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble units.
• Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances.
• Repair or refit parts that fail tests or tolerance.
• Maintain daily assembly production records.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
