Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Process Mechanical Engineer to support design and development of advanced manufacturing facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Desire to design mechanical systems and /or specifying Equipment specifications for Equipment in the Manufacturing market.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
• Previous relevant internship experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Solidworks, Revit, 3D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates and scopes of work, perform field investigations, interface with clients & vendors.
• Prepare construction design packages and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on layout and design process and mechanical equipment for niche manufacturing facilities.

We're looking for a highly ambitious and focused Entry-Level Process Mechanical Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our client’s business. As part of our team, in the Greenville, SC or Appleton, WI office you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of engineering services.

You’ll work with our team of engineers and designers to develop estimates and scopes of work, perform field investigations, interface with clients & vendors, and prepare construction design packages. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in layout and design process and mechanical equipment for various types of niche manufacturing facilities, we’ll grow your expertise as you perform detailed engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions, create and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.

In this position you will play a crucial role in designing and developing advanced manufacturing facilities, assisting with complex facility design projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications.

You’ll impact the world around you by solving real-life challenges in the chemical, heavy industrial, and pulp and paper industries while helping clients capitalize on emerging technologies.

You’ll also take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $88,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
