Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Analytical Assistant I to support specimen processing and laboratory operations at a clinical facility in Miramar, FL. This 13-week contract role requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Shifts are Mon-Fri, 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional weekends or overtime as needed. Compensation ranges from $15 to $17 per hour, commensurate with education and credentials, and the position offers an entry point

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical or clinical laboratory background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and specimen types is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort, rack, centrifuge, and aliquot laboratory specimens.
• Pick up, transport, deliver, and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Identify issues involving specimen types, missing information, and test-order requirements and assist with timely resolution.
• Follow procedures related to specimen handling, test ordering, compliance, and safety.
• Complete required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with workplace standards.
• Meet quality and productivity expectations following training.
• Support departmental staffing needs, including occasional weekends, holidays, overtime, or on-call assignments as required.
