Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class C Lineman for entry-level line work constructing and repairing overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and may travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, reporting to the Foreman.

You will perform live-line tasks with gloving and hot-stick techniques, operate line equipment, and work outdoors in varied conditions. Equal opportunity employer offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of relevant field experience is required or equivalent.
• Ability to travel long distances on short notice.
• Will lift, carry, push or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems, prioritizing safety.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces near energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line-equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and outages.
• Be available for outages, storms and emergencies, including on-call rotations.
• Perform live-line work with gloving and hot-stick techniques, troubleshoot and locate faults.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
