Job summary

CRB in Irvine, CA is seeking an entry-level Plumbing Engineer to support the design of sanitary waste drainage, venting, storm water and plumbing services for world-class facilities. The role operates under supervision of the Engineer-of-Record and Lead Plumbing Engineer, contributing to projects in the life sciences and food & beverage sectors.

Responsibilities include drainage calculations, CAD drafting, code-compliant design, and coordination with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in mechanical or architectural engineering.
• 0–3 years of design firm experience.
• FE exam registration or completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drainage and fixture calculations, utility assessments, design reports, code evaluations, drainage and service plans, schedules, installation details, specifications and coordination with manufacturers and trade partners.
• Utilize CAD software for drafting plumbing layouts.
• Support basic design and layout of plumbing systems in conformance with code requirements and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Assist in preparing deliverables across all design stages (studies to construction administration).
• Conduct basic field investigations to integrate design with existing conditions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and designers to ensure a coordinated, constructible design.
