Job summary

LANXESS is seeking an entry-level operator to support the FF680 unit in El Dorado South. You will participate in projects, promote safe, efficient operations, and follow SOPs to maintain area standards.

As an entry-level role, you will work a 12-hour rotating day/night schedule, learn plant safety programs, and cross-train across operations to contribute to reliability and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be a team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts and overtime.
• Experience in plant operations is a plus.
• May require membership in Fire Brigade.
• Mechanical aptitude for pipes and basic maintenance.
• Experience operating a forklift or ability to learn.
• Participates in plant safety programs.
• Must work in a state of alertness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of the FF680 unit by supporting and participating in all related projects.
• Ensure all Safety and Environmental policies are followed.
• Follow good housekeeping practices to ensure area meets expectations.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed.
• Ability to cross train on all operations within the area.
• Monitor the process in the field and/or in control room to report unusual and unsafe conditions.
• Identify routine maintenance requirements.
• Participate in activities and meetings which will enhance plant safety, reliability, cost and environmental performance as well as area production objectives.
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with site standards and coach others to do the same.
