Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking an entry-level General Maintenance team member in Alabama. You will assist with general site tasks, learn basic maintenance functions, and support the maintenance team under supervision.

The role focuses on developing long-term potential within the company. Under supervision, you will participate in preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and safety procedures while learning the operation of plant equipment and safety protocols including LOTO and hazard

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic maintenance and safety awareness required.
• Willingness to learn mechanical fundamentals and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-shift and post-shift inspections and routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components.
• Record maintenance activities and service logs.
• Follow MSHA and OSHA safety protocols and LOTO procedures.
• Identify issues during operation and report for corrective action.
• Maintain a hazard-free work area.
