Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company seeks an entry-level General Maintenance helper to assist with general tasks around the worksite in Clarksville, TN. Under supervision, you will learn basic maintenance tasks and help with inspections and minor repairs, contributing to long-term development within the company.

You will perform tasks such as lubricating moving parts, recording logs, and adhering to safety protocols, while gaining hands-on experience with plant equipment and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in maintenance preferred.
• Exposure to preventative maintenance processes under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-/post-shift equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance to prevent failures.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components (conveyor belts, idlers, pulleys, pumps).
• Follow OSHA regulations and LOTO protocols; keep a hazard-free work area.
• Observe operation and identify anomalies; perform minor adjustments as needed.
• Record service logs and maintenance records for plant equipment.
• Maintain site housekeeping and operate various plant equipment as required.
• Assist with general tasks around the worksite under supervision.
