Job summary

Heartland Business Systems in Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level Physical Security Installer I to assist with installing video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, paging, and related low-voltage systems under supervision. You will work with foremen and project managers to build technical proficiency while delivering quality service on every site.

Frequent travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Able to use basic hand and power tools.
Maintain an outcome-focused mindset and strong prioritization.
Team player with professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

Install and support video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and related low-voltage systems under supervision.
Perform cable pulling, terminations, mounting, device installation, and equipment setup.
Read and follow project drawings, scopes of work, and installation instructions.
Maintain compliance with safety standards and codes.
Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate complex ones as needed.
Coordinate with Foreman, Project Manager, and team for project execution.
Document time, materials, and completed work accurately.
Communicate professionally with customers and contractors.
