Job summary

Heartland Business Systems LLC is seeking an entry-level technician to assist with the installation and implementation of video surveillance, access control, and low-voltage systems. You will work under supervision with the Foreman and Project Manager to build proficiency and ensure quality workmanship.

The role requires frequent travel to customer sites, attention to safety standards, and effective communication with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (basic).
• Able to use basic hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install and support the implementation of video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and related low-voltage systems under supervision.
• Read and follow project drawings, scopes of work, and installation instructions.
• Maintain compliance with company standards, jobsite safety requirements, and applicable codes.
• Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate complex issues appropriately.
• Frequent travel to customer sites may be required, including local, regional, and occasional overnight stays.
