Responsibilities

  • Welcome donors and provide professional customer service.
  • Complete screening procedures for new and returning donors.
  • Measure vital signs and finger-stick results.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures following safety standards.
  • Enter donor information and maintain electronic records.
  • Prepare donor charts and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate donor compensation and assist with administrative processes.
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to routine donor questions.
  • Monitor donors and maintain a safe environment.
  • Follow infection-control, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve center workflows.
  • Assist with general center operations and other responsibilities.

Seeking an entry-level Phlebotomy Technician to support donor screening, specimen collection, recordkeeping, and daily center operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Welcome donors and provide attentive, professional customer service
  • Complete screening procedures for new and returning donors
  • Measure and document vital signs and finger-stick test results
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures in accordance with established safety and quality standards
  • Enter donor information and maintain complete, accurate electronic records
  • Prepare donor charts and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate donor compensation and assist with related administrative processes
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to routine donor questions
  • Monitor donors throughout the collection process and help maintain a safe environment
  • Follow infection-control, bloodborne-pathogen, privacy, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve center workflows and support approved process changes
  • Assist with general center operations and other assigned responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with donors and coworkers
  • Ability to remain on your feet for most or all of the scheduled shift
  • Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, lean, and reach above shoulder level and below the knees
  • Ability to lift lightweight materials regularly and occasionally lift items weighing up to approximately 32 pounds
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • Fine-motor coordination, depth perception, and the ability to hear equipment and alarms from a distance
  • HIPAA training/certificate
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in a customer-facing, patient-facing, or service-oriented position
  • Previous exposure to healthcare, laboratory, clinical, or phlebotomy environments
  • Experience using electronic information systems or maintaining detailed records
