Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a flexible, part-time phlebotomy role designed for extra income or experience. Shifts range from 4–6 hours, 3+ days per week with advance scheduling and open communication.

You will greet donors, perform venipuncture, operate plasmapheresis machines, monitor donor safety, and support center operations under supervision, lifting up to 32 lbs and working evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk, stand, lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift up to 32 lbs routinely, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing of equipment.
  • Comfortable with prolonged glove use (risk level 1 blood exposure).
  • At least 1 year of customer or patient-facing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet donors upon entry and exit.
  • Perform venipuncture and program plasmapheresis machines.
  • Monitor donors during donation and manage reactions.
  • Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
  • Prime and disconnect disposable sets.
  • Stock supplies, break down cartons, and dispose properly.
  • Record donor vitals and questionnaire data.
  • Conduct finger sticks, test samples, and record hematocrit, total protein, and weight.
  • Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS).
  • Coordinate donor flow and compensate donors using the debit card system.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen).

About the Role

Location & Compensation

Location: USA – TN – Mount Juliet. Hourly wage: $18.00 plus benefits. Eligibility for short‑term incentives, sick time (up to 80 hours/year), vacation (up to 120 hours for new hires).
