• Answer telephone calls and assist with inventory and billing support.
• Receive, process, and transport specimens; track and sort specimens.
• Order and verify test requests; document quality assurance data.
• Enter laboratory results into the computer system.
• Participate in proficiency testing and generate reports.
• Instruct employees and students in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
• Provide care appropriate to age of patients and follow age-specific policies.
