Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Brooklyn, NY seeks an entry-level Personal Banker SAFE Act to assist in sales, products and service activities with the customer service team. The role aims to build loyalty and increase sales to individual consumer clients.

The position involves handling small business referrals, coaching branch staff, and guiding customers through banking channels while ensuring compliance with Citi policies and risk controls. Primary location is Brooklyn, NY with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Banking or sales background preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work with business credit requests less than $250K, recognize/refer larger lending opportunities and cross sell treasury and related small business products
• Build referral business opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the MGM Program
• Assist in strategies to grow the small business client and implement appropriate sales plans
• Deliver client services/outbound calls/inbound calls to acquire new relationships and deepen existing relationships through cross-sell of relevant products and services
• Provide tellers and branch staff with coaching and guidance on products and programs, identifying client needs and referrals
• Recognize transaction needs of clients, educate on service and digital channels and leverage tech/tools to uncover opportunities
• Understand and comply with Citibank policies and regulatory requirements, escalating control issues as needed
