Prineville Police Department is accepting applications for Entry Level - Police Officer. The role performs law enforcement duties including patrol and investigations, enforcing laws, assisting EMS, and public safety tasks.

Shifts include 8, 10 or 12 hours with day, swing, or graveyard schedules, including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include patrol, incident responses, warrants, reports, court testimony, and community assistance.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
• Prior law enforcement and/or college degree in related field preferred; OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsabilités

• Patrol streets, alleys, roads, business and residential areas enforcing laws and ordinances.
• Respond to a wide variety of service and investigative calls and take appropriate action.
• Investigate accidents, deaths, and criminal complaints; make arrests and issue citations as needed.
• Prepare full and comprehensive reports on activities performed.
• Assist the public with directions, inquiries, and safety concerns; aid motorists.
• Testify in court and serve warrants.
• Provide field services and assist other officers as needed.
• Maintain patrol vehicle and workstation in clean, orderly condition.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance across shifts and assignments.
