Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Davenport is hiring a Patient Care Tech to participate in safe, quality patient care as delegated by the RN within the Surgical Specialty Unit. You will assist nursing staff and physicians in both patient care and non-patient care activities.

The role requires no experience, with Basic Life Support training, and preferred training in CNA or medical terminology. Work is on the 1st shift, full-time, with rotating weekends and holidays at MercyOne Davenport Medical Center.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support training included.
• Training preferred: previous healthcare experience, healthcare student, CNA certification, medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to nursing staff and physicians in patient care and non-patient care activities.
• Support department housekeeping, and supply/equipment/facility maintenance tasks.
