Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Tech to join the Surgical Specialty Unit on the Day Shift. This full-time role (32 hours/week) involves assisting nurses and physicians, supporting patient care, and handling related tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

No prior experience is required; Basic Life Support is required, and healthcare student, CNA certification, or medical terminology background is preferred. Davenport, IA area with competitive benefits.

As a patient care tech at MercyOne, you will participate in the provision of safe, quality patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse through support of standards and philosophies of Genesis Medical Center. Provides assistance to nursing staff and physicians in various patient care and non-patient care activities. Performs tasks in a caring and efficient manner that supports customer service and assists with department related housekeeping, and supply/equipment/facility maintenance tasks.

General Requirements

• No experience required
• Special Training: Basic Life Support
• Training Preferred: previous experience, healthcare student, CNA certification, medical terminology

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience
