Buffalo Lodging Associates seeks an entry-level Maintenance Assistant at Home2 Suites by Hilton- Orlando Near UCF (3414 Technological Ave, Orlando, FL 32817). The role supports the Chief Engineer with basic repairs, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and grounds upkeep for a 124-suite hotel.

Typical shifts are mostly evenings (3pm–11pm); flexibility to work weekends/holidays is required. Requires at least 2 years in building/hotel maintenance and ability to lift up to 75 lbs, plus a valid

Qualifications

• At least 2 years working in maintaining and repairing of building and hotel experience is a plus.
• Electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance skills required.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry and pull up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
• Assists in maintaining all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and records such maintenance in log books as required by the company and hotel brand.
• Maintains and services pool and spa areas including testing and recording as stated by the state and local regulations.
• Cleans internal areas of buildings including sweeping, mopping and removing garbage from building; maintains cleanliness of public/storage areas and parking lot.

We are currently looking for Maintenance Assistant to join our Team! Our Home2 Suites by Hilton, a 124 all -suites hotel, is located off University Boulevard, a short walk from dining and five minutes from The University of Central Florida. Addition Financial Arena, FBC Mortgage Stadium, and Blanchard Park are within three miles. Our guests enjoy our in-suite kitchens, outdoor saline pool, and fitness center, featuring a Peloton® Bike with toe cages. Hot complimentary daily breakfast is offered to all our guests. The Home2 Suites-UCF is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.

Job Details: Reports to the Chief Engineer -

The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the upkeep of the hotel property, assisting the Chief Engineer.

Role:

Typical shifts would be: Mostly PM - evenings 3pm to 11pm - however must be flexible and be able to work weekends and holidays.

What You Bring:

At least 2 years working in maintaining and repairing of building and hotel experience is a plus. Electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance skills required. Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry and pull up to 75 lbs. Requires reaching overhead, climbing, crouching, and twisting. Valid drivers license required.
